Keyboard Encoder ICs

All our keyboard encoders fully encode a keyboard or keypad in array sizes up to 12 x 11 with no external parts. Parallel and serial interfaces are available. They support standard supply voltages from 2.5 to 5.25 volts with low power consumption of 2 mA typical for parallel models, and 5 mA typical for serial models. 2 key roll over and key debouncing are built in. Inputs and outputs are TTL/CMOS compatible. Parts are ROHS compliant, and low EMI. All parts are in full production, and there is no minimum order.

Keyboard encoder for matrix size up to 4 x 4, provides asynchronous serial output at 9600 BPS for a single wire interface. ASCII codes 0-9, #, *, and A-D. Designed for telephone style keyboards. 20 pin IC.

KBDSER16 Keyboard Encoder serial output 16 keys

Keyboard encoder for matrix size up to 4 x 4 provides binary output (Hex 30-3F) in a serial asynchronous format at 9600 BPS for a single wire interface. 20 pin IC.
